Our Vision | Preparing People for Eternity
REACHING OUR VISION
St. Peter’s Church desires to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to all people. We seek to help individuals experience freedom in having a personal relationship with Him in this life, while realizing that this life is preparation for eternity. We also seek to enable individuals to grow in their commitment to Jesus Christ through a closer relationship with Him on a daily basis.
We seek to send our members to places outside of Seven Valleys to widen the spread of the Good News of Jesus Christ. We work closely with other Christian organizations around the world to meet the needs of the people in those locations and while meeting their needs, we share with them the joy of knowing the Lord in this life and in the life to come. Our goal is to commission 25% of our members every year to serve people outside of our immediate area, while 100% of our members serve our immediate community on a regular monthly basis.
We seek to help our members grow in their own personal faith through regular commitment and involvement with a small group that meets in homes around the York County area. These groups support one another, pray for one another, love one another, honor one another, hold one another accountable, and teach one another the truths of The Bible. Our goal is to have every member actively engaged in a small group at least one time every month.
Our youth and children are a vital part of our church family. We support them by praying for them daily, teaching them to live God honoring lives, and to be individually sharing their faith in Jesus Christ with their friends, family, and community. Our goal is to work with parents to raise children that serve God their whole lives.
We seek to provide opportunities for men and women to mentor one another and be mentored by one another. We provide groups for men and women to encourage, support, and grow in faith together while actively serving the community in ways that express our devotion to Jesus Christ. Our goal is to have 100% of all members actively serving in men’s or women’s ministries.
We seek to provide comfort, compassion, and grace to those who have experienced the death of a loved one. We provide support groups that are led by those who desire to help others grieve together and share the hope of eternal life that we have in Jesus Christ, realizing the peace of knowing Him.
We seek to glorify God in all that we do and to teach others to enjoy a relationship with Him in this life and in the life eternal. We participate in corporate worship as families regularly, while individually worshipping with our families daily in our homes.
As a Christ centered church, called and led by the Holy Spirit, we strive to be a worshiping, teaching, growing, loving and caring fellowship in our community by considering others more important than ourselves.
