VISITING WITH US

Thank you for being interested in our church and for checking us out here on the web. We’d like to share some important information with you about our Sunday services.

First, we worship every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM at 1708 Seitzville Road in Seven Valleys. There is a separate link on this page to give you driving directions to reach our church.

Our worship service is contemporary in musical style with traditional hymns added from time to time. As we gather together to worship, we have opportunity each week to pray for each other and to be prayed for as specific needs arise.

Each week a message is presented that is based upon and taken from specific a Biblical passage. The Bible passage is explained and then application to everyday life is made.

Nurseries

During the Worship Service, there is an infant nursery and a toddler nursery available.  Both nurseries are on our lower level.  There are always responsible and considerate people on duty to take care of your children.

Children’s Church

Every Sunday except for the first and last Sundays of each month, there is Children’s Church.  Children’s Church is for age three through grade five children. The kids are dismissed to go be with the children’s church ministry about halfway through the service. During this time, the children learn about God and the Bible.

Christian Education

Each week we offer Christian Education (Sunday School) classes for all ages.  There are adult, youth, and children classes available each week from 9:00 a.m. to 9:40 a.m.

What should I wear?

At St. Peter’s you will find quite a variety of outfits. You will find some in a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers, while others will be what you probably consider “dressed up”. For instance, Pastor Tom faithfully sports a suit and tie every Sunday. The point is there is no “dress code”. Wear whatever is comfortable to you.

What’s it going to be like?

One of the most frequent comments we get from newcomers is how warm the people of St. Peter’s are. You will be welcomed at the door, and someone will always be around to help you if needed. You’re bound to start at least one new friendship before you leave the building. Feel free to ask anyone about a question you may have. The style of our church could be considered contemporary. Our worship team, New Hope, leads music during the service. It has guitars, drums, a piano, and a group of singers. Most songs are upbeat and modern, but we also incorporate classic songs that express an ongoing love for God. During the service is a time of prayer where we share praises and concerns. Because of our belief in the importance of communicating with God, this is a very meaningful part of the service. The other main part of the service is a message from one of our pastors, either Tom Beck or Kerry Gingerich.  The message is about a passage in the Bible and is easilty understood and applied to everyday life.

What do you have for those with disabilities?

Our building is easily accessible for those who are handicapped. There is a handicapped-parking section right next to the church. A sidewalk with ramps comes right out to this lot. We have an elevator to get from level to level and ample seating for those in a wheelchair. Every bathroom has a handicap accessible stall. For those with hearing difficulties, we have easy-to-use personal hearing devices available to anyone by asking a greeter. They can be picked up at the entrance of the sanctuary.
