Worship

We meet weekly at 10:00 a.m. to worship together

Sunday mornings are the most important day of the week for us at St. Peter’s. This time is when we gather as a body of believers, and seek to worship God in spirit and truth. Worship is part of how we express our devotion to God. When we worship, we declare and proclaim God’s worth to us.

The Bible is clear that all who follow Christ should be regularly engaged in corporate and private worship. While nothing can replace personal prayer and worship time in your home, it is also vital for every Christian to be engaged with other brothers and sisters in corporate worship. Hebrews 10:25 says, “Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another, and all the more, as you see the Day approaching.

At St. Peter’s, the preaching of God’s word (the Bible), is central to everything we do. As a result, we preach through the text of scripture each Sunday in order for our hearts to be convicted and for us to worship together in spirit and truth. In addition, we also desire to glorify God through excellence in music during our weekly worship services. We do this by offering up praises to Him through a time of musical worship, which is led by our worship team. This time has a three-fold purpose:

1. to glorify God,

2. to encourage the hearts of the gathered believers, and

3. to remind us of the faithful and unchanging nature of God.

We also provide two nurseries to take care of small children.  The infant nursery is for children ages birth until age two, and our toddler nursery if for children ages 2 – pre-K.

Please know that we are sanitizing both nurseries on a weekly basis.  All toys and areas are cleaned and wiped down during the week.  We will work to do everything that we can to maintain the safety of your children while you entrust them to our care each Sunday.

When you bring your children to the nursery for the first time, you will be asked to complete a child information card that will give the nursery workers information about your child’s needs, allergies, snacks, etc.  When you bring your child to the nursery for the first time, please allocate an extra five minutes to discuss your child’s needs with the nursery staff.

We also offer Biblical learning time for children ages K – grade 5 during worship.  Our children K – 5th grade will gather in the Sanctuary with their families every Sunday for our opening worship.  Then, just prior to the sermon, the children will be dismissed to the Children of God learning time.  Our children enjoy their time together to have fun together and to learn from God’s Word from teachers that have a love for God and a love for our children.
